Main Cause of High Blood Pressure

This is an old theory, but recent events point to it being correct. The theory is that the cause of most high blood pressure (essential hypertension) is due to a too low ratio of potassium to sodium. Recently I have seen The Chunky Soups with labels where they have added potassium chloride to it to bring this ratio up and also list the amount of potassium when they do not have to. I have also seen this with Orville Redenbacher's microwave popcorn.

Sodium Debate Rages On As Restaurants Tweak Salt Usage
One recent study said that focusing on sodium levels per se is naive; instead, it suggested, we should target our potassium-to-sodium ratio.
